Kim Moody
Lead Planner + Owner
Kim created the company out of the simple love of a good party. She is a master of many trades, a collector of knowledge, and wise beyond her years. Kim's Master's Degree in Conflict Transformation with an emphasis in Negotiation has given her a very specialized niche in the wedding industry.
Kim is a mentor to many and a firm believer that family is the most important thing in life. She is always up for an adventure and the lake is her happy place. Her calm nature brings you instant peace, and her strong will can make the impossible happen.
Kim always makes sure to get a peek of the bride’s dad seeing his little girl in her dress for the first time!
Andrew Moody
Andrew is a numbers guy through and through. He is the one that keeps our company together, the checkbook balanced, and the bills paid on time.
He's a gentle father, kind-hearted, a sounding board, and a family man. This guy is crazy about Hokie Football; as an alumnus of Virginia Tech, in his younger "child-free" years, Andrew attended a few games each season for many years after College. These days he is lucky to catch a game or two a year on tv from his living room.
He has spent his career as an Accountant and Bookkeeper for small businesses and he continues to do so under his own company, "Stewardship Solutions." We are fortunate to have him as part of our team.
Olivia Sigler
Olivia Sigler is currently studying Hospitality Management and Business at James Madison University. Olivia has a passion for planning events and seeing big projects come together. She looks forward to being able to create that magical day for couples.
Olivia first found her love for planning events when she began planning her birthday parties when she was little. From there, she loved any type of event that brought happiness to a group of people. Although, she wasn't super girly, her favorite thing was watching Say Yes To The Dress on Saturday mornings with her mom. These television marathons sparked her love for weddings.
Her favorite part of weddings is seeing the joy when the couple sees each other for the first time.

Following the pandemic, Kim has been also been working devotedly with the Live Events Coalition, Goochland Chamber of Commerce, & Virginia's Organization of Wedding Standards (VOWS).

Abby Bowles
Assistant Wedding Planner & Office Assistant
Abby is our Assistant Wedding Coordinator and Office Assistant. She graduated from James Madison University in 2017 where she earned a Bachelors of Music with a concentration in education. A Richmond native, Abby now lives in North Chesterfield with her husband, Jimmy, two cats, and Miniature Australian Shepherd. When she isn’t planning weddings at River Run, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, indulging her online shopping habits, and eating/drinking her way through the incredible Richmond restaurant scene.
Abby has always been very interested in the coordination of events, both big and small! She takes after her mother in her attention to small details, which was fostered and grown through her experience in musical theatre productions from the perspective of both a performer and artistic team member.
Her love of working behind the scenes has been prevalent in many areas of her life, but she found her full appreciation and passion for wedding coordination with the planning of her own wedding in Fall of 2019.
Kim Moody Design was the best to work with. I live in Utah, my mom is in Georgia, and we were getting married in Virginia. I was so stressed coordinating all the vendors when I started the wedding planning myself.
KMD was great stepping into the work I had started and immediately took a huge load off my shoulders. KMD worked super hard to make the ceremony and reception spaces perfect for our guests. Kim Moody Design made sure my ideas as the bride, came first.
